Jamie and Sam are aged 11. Jamie goes to Hereward House and Sam goes to Southbank International School. They have both come to the synagogue since they were 3.

What is your favourite food to cook?

Sam: pizza. Jamie: fish.

When did you start to cook?

Sam: when I was 9. Jamie: I started to cook seriously when I was 8.

When do you cook?

Sam: when my mum has dinner parties. Jamie: when family are around.

What is your favourite cookbook?

Sam: Green and Blacks. Jamie: the big white one in Mums drawer

What do you think of the synagogue cookbook?

Jamie: Good, but too much meat, not enough sweet.
