Do you find Cheder boring? Do you have very few friends to hang out with? Well look no further. I’m here to make it easier for you. I’ll give you friendship tips, and a way of making everything fun!
Today I want to talk about making friends. I came to Cheder with a few friends from school so I was very lucky, but most people do not know anybody! Most people don’t realise this but everyone is just like you. They’re all Jewish for starters and are searching for someone to be their friend.
When you arrive at Cheder on Sunday morning, smile. It makes you easier to approach and makes you feel good. If you see somebody alone at assembly go over and sit with them. They’ll be so pleased to have your company.
If you’re shy here are some great conversation starters:
What school do you go to? (This works every time) It’s raining again! (Obviously when it is raining) What club are you trying for? (On the first day of term) Are you new here? (For someone you haven't seen before).
Once your in a conversation relax and keep calm. If you just be yourself, you and your friends will feel far more comfortable.
Also, try and stay in contact. Do they have MSN? An email address? Ask if they live near by and meet up on the weekend. Movies are great fun!
