Eggs in a frame

By Savvy Hersov and Lily Hersov

This is one of our favourite things to eat for breakfast and can be made very easily by budding young chefs. This recipe is from our Mum''s childhood cookbook Betty Crocker''s Cook Book for Boys and Girls.

You will need:

A piece of bread, 1 egg, Butter

Using a cup or biscuit cutter cut out a circle from the bread. Put both pieces into a buttered pan. Crack an egg into the centre of the "frame". You might want to crack the egg into a bowl first and then pour into the centre.

Once the egg becomes firm and white, flip both pieces of bread over. Cook until the egg is the way you like it. Serve straight from the pan and eat with delight!
